Whoever was working today, Sunday, July 14th, 2019, in the year of our Lord, all deserve a raise. I came in with my family and my parents' friends. They were the super loud Filipinos who took all the dim sum and demanded we change the television channel to the Wimbledon tennis match.
I ate the lo mein and tofu in embarrassment as my family told crude jokes in Tagalish and eating all the dim sim carts and pointing at things with forks.
Everyone should eat at Jade Palace and support the excellent and patient servers working there. -

I'm on a mission for as close to authentic as possible... I'm still looking... they're getting 3 stars because their lo mein was tasty...but that's it...
I have the tendency to crave hot and sour soup when it rains and today seemed to be the perfect day...
The perfect hot and sour soup to me has shredded pork loin, shiitake and woodear mushrooms, dried lily flowers, tofu... no cubed carrots or random veggies... and definitely no hint of bbq flavor or sweetness in the background... just mild heat, slight vinegar and fresh white pepper flavor... -

I have been going to Jade Palace almost 40 years...even back when they were located in Jtown. Over the past 2 years, new management has taken over and the place has changed. First, Miss Linda is gone and she was the fave of that place. They changed the War Su Gai sauce and it is absolutely repulsive. I have gotten the # 10 with fried rice and an egg roll for all that time. Why did it change?? And then they have gone and changed their chicken wings. They are barely edible and two out of three times, they were raw on the inside. It is hard to think that I do not want to go to my absolute favorite restaurant, but I dont. You have lost a lifelong customer...actually many because I have told my family
And friends just how terrible it has become. -

A nice Chinese restaurant in Westport Village. Not the biggest buffet but all is delicious! Try the Governor's Chicken!

I really like Jade Palace. we were in the mood for a Chinese buffet and this place is about 2 minutes away from us. It is a bit different than your average Chinese place, as it has a full bar and looks for very on the inside, rather than tacky.
We came during their dinner buffet, which is 5-9:30 every day of the week. The lunch hours are only certain days, though. I had a hard time figuring out this, but they did have it posted outside of the restaurant.
The people who work here are very sweet and were immediately around to keep our drinks filled. The buffet is smaller than your average, but it had just about everything that I liked. Even a dessert section! All of the things I tried were tasty and fresh, and most were labeled on the buffet table.
Like I mentioned before, this place does have a full bar if you're interested in that!
